Welcome 2021
WOW!! This will be the eighth year with my Sunshine Seekers team!
Only twenty percent of the people diagnosed with ALS live longer than five years. Here I am - happy, positive, grateful, and determined.
I am slowly progressing and every day brings challenges. The ALS Association helps with these challenges. Money raised goes towards research, advocacy, and directly helps me, Bob, and Ashleigh.
Each Year I look forward to the Walk to Defeat ALS. It's a fun environment with music, dancing, food, and miles of smiles. It is an incredible feeling to see so many people fundraise and walk to support our local North Carolina Chapter. A few years ago I was asked to cut the ribbon to begin the Walk. That was a true honor and privilege. I love seeing all of my friends and family gathered in one place and I always look forward to the award ceremony. In past years our team has won Top Fundraiser awards as well as Best Team Spirit.

3. Fundraising for the team
