Since 2009, Eddie’s Eagles has participated in 16 Walks, several Ice Bucket Challenges, and raised over $140,000 for the Jim “Catfish” Hunter Chapter of the ALS Association in memory of my brother, Eddie Rabenda, who passed away from ALS in September 2014.
2021 has continued to be more than a little unusual but continuing the fight to cure ALS might be one of the most normal things we can do right now. Eddie's Eagles will continue to fight this year and every year until there is a cure.
Register and donate today to help get Eddie’s Eagles one step closer to reaching our goal and stay tuned for more information on this year’s Triangle Walk to Defeat ALS - Saturday, June 26, 2021! We will once more walk in Downtown Apex.

Why We Need Your Help
Often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of an ALS patient averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.
This crippling disease can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease yet it still costs loved ones an average of $200,000 a year to provide the care ALS patients need. Help make a difference and donate or join a walk today.
